So we're fixing that. We're hiring for Special Projects at Mesa School of Business. The idea is simple - one person owning our most critical long-term problem. The problem will change every year. Next year's might be something we haven't even thought of yet. I won't oversell it. A lot of this is execution. The bar is high. You are probably among the top 10–15 hardware people in your engineering cohort in the country. And you want to build a deep-tech company someday. Who are you? 0–4 years out of engineering. Strong technical depth and curiosity. Exposure to mechanical engineering, engineering design, chemistry/materials or adjacent fields. Full-stack hardware engineer: comfortable going from first principles to CAD/prototyping/manufacturing and ability to go deep in multiple science/engineering disciplines at pace. Your campus years probably had both: serious technical work and meaningful leadership. Bonus points for: you have tried building a hardware start-up. It does not matter if it worked. This is an execution role, not a strategy role. As Go Zero grows, one of the biggest challenges is not deciding what needs to be done. It’s making sure that once we decide something, it actually gets done. That’s where this role comes in. You’ll work closely with me and the leadership team to make sure our most important priorities move from discussion → action → completion. Your job responsibilities will be to: • Track the company’s key priorities and ensure owners are accountable • Follow up relentlessly on commitments across teams • Identify what is stuck and push it to resolution • Run weekly leadership reviews and maintain action trackers • Ensure decisions made in meetings actually get implemented • Coordinate across functions when something falls between teams • Build simple dashboards to track execution and identify gaps • Escalate issues that need my attention • Keep critical projects moving against deadlines • Take ownership of important initiatives that don’t have a clear functional owner • Make sure nothing important gets lost in the noise of a fast growing company You will not be expected to come in and tell me what the strategy of Go Zero should be. You will be expected to make sure the strategy we have decided on gets executed. The person I’m looking for is extremely organised, persistent, analytical and high on ownership. Someone who is comfortable asking: “You committed to this last week. Why isn’t it done yet?” And then ensuring get it done.
