Co-Founder at goSTOPS
2mo ago
Entrepreneur in Residence@goSTOPS
We're hiring someone in Founder's office to solve a problem most of budget hospitality has quietly given up on.
How do you hire — and actually train — thousands of managers and housekeepers, at quality, at scale, without turning into a faceless machine? At goSTOPS, the person at the front desk and the person who cleaned your room are the product. Community, warmth, a bed that feels cared for — none of it survives bad hiring or lazy training. As we scale, this stops being an HR task and becomes the problem to crack. So we're looking for an Entrepreneur-in-Residence to own it end to end. Not a recruiter. Not an "HR person." Someone who will build the systems, from scratch, to: → Hire blue- and grey-collar talent in bulk — through channels hiring usually ignores: performance marketing, ATL/BTL, content, AI tooling. Treat hiring like a growth funnel, not a job board. → Build the pipelines — hotel-management schools across tier 1/2/3, alternate skill-development centres — and crack what nobody has: how you train a housekeeper or a manager to deliver genuinely great service. → Anchor the HRBP side — sit with on-ground staff, understand their real pain, drive attrition down and quality up (great people, not just filled seats). → Own L&D and quality at scale — customer & community audits, mystery audits, self-audits, F&B L&D cascades, SOP adherence, elevating food and the whole guest experience. Who this is for: → Young. Tech-first. No baggage. Someone who wants to hustle — but focused hustle, not random energy. A high performer pulled toward problems nobody has solved, who solves them in ways nobody has tried. → I want to know the one thing you did that proves this — the moment you took something ambiguous, hit resistance, and drove it through anyway. That's the job. → You'll report to Pallavi Agarwal, our co-founder, who built all of this with zero conventional playbook — and work closely with Jayesh Patil, our Head of Ops. Pallavi and I will personally mentor you. But you have to pick things up and run: handle ambiguity, handle the org pushing back, and believe things can genuinely be done differently. Experiment your way to the one beautiful solution — not by re-running what's already been tried. We've done all that. :) → < 5 years' experience preferred. → Bias for action. Data, tech, scalability first. No fluff. If this is you — or someone you rate this highly — write to me on pankaj@gostops.com. Make sure to write the one thing that says you're the one for this role.
