You should be comfortable with things like: 1. Diagnosing why performance dropped instead of just changing audiences or creatives. Understanding Meta's delivery system, auction dynamics, learning, attribution, and creative-led scaling. 2. Knowing when to consolidate campaigns, when to segment, and when to leave things alone. 3. Identifying whether the problem is the creative, audience, offer, landing page, tracking, or economics. 4. Understanding Google Search, Shopping, PMax, feed optimisation, search intent, and conversion quality. 5. Knowing the difference between platform-reported ROAS and actual business profitability. 6. Working with Pixel, CAPI, GA4, GTM, conversion tracking, and attribution discrepancies. 7. Scaling accounts without blindly increasing budgets or sacrificing efficiency. Most importantly, you should be able to look at an ad account, ask the right questions, find the actual bottleneck, and build a clear plan to improve performance. I'm not interested in how many campaigns you've launched. I'm interested in how you think, what you've learned, and the business problems you've solved.
