My team builds the BI and analytics platforms behind QuickBooks Online reports and insights, used by millions of small businesses. I’m looking for a Staff SRE to make them faster, more reliable, and more cost-efficient.
What you’ll do, and what you bring:
Define SLOs and error budgets for data pipelines, query engines, and reporting services, and drive reliability across the stack
Lead observability end to end (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) and own incident response and blameless postmortems
Automate away toil and improve data freshness, query latency, capacity, and deployment safety
Bring [8+] years in SRE or production engineering with Staff/Senior-level impact, strong [Java / Python / Go] coding, and hands-on AWS, Kubernetes experience
Bring experience with data and BI platforms (e.g. Spark, Kafka, data warehouses, OLAP/query engines), a big plus
Mentor engineers and influence architecture across teams
