Founding Backend Engineer@Scruge
I am hiring founding backend engineers for Scruge in Bangalore.
Scruge is an app for people who have credit cards. It works on every UPI and card payment you make, so you always get the most savings and rewards, conveniently and transparently. We are building four agents, one for each way you pay: Checkout, Card, Tap and UPI. Early feedback has been great, and there is a huge opportunity to make a 10x product in financial services and agentic commerce.
This is a founding role. You will build things on your own. We believe this is the time for 10x people who have AI employees at their disposal. We plan to build world-class solutions at breakneck speed.
What we are looking for:
- 6+ years in backend engineering, and you have seen scale
- Master of the craft: you are in the top 1% at what you do, and the people you have worked with know it
- Outlandish ownership: you own what you take up and you deliver it
- A great human: you care about the people you work with and the people who use what you build
We work in person in Bangalore, 5.5 days a week. You get founding equity and pay that goes beyond a paycheck-to-paycheck number. More than the pay and the learning, you will enjoy working and look forward to it every day.
