Backend Engineer@Valura
We're hiring a Python Backend developer.
Valura.Ai is building regulated global investing for India and the UAE, out of GIFT City. Behind the app there's a fair amount of hard backend: broker integrations, a double-entry ledger that has to tie to the cent, FX and cross-border money movement, and an AI layer sitting on top of all of it. That's the work.
What you'll do:
• Build and own services in our TypeScript and Python stack
• Integrate with brokers, payment rails and market data feeds
• Work on the ledger, reconciliation and reporting, where being 2 cents off is a bug, not a rounding error
• Design APIs that partners build on top of
What we're looking for:
• Strong fundamentals in Node/TypeScript or Python, and willingness to work in both
• Comfort with Postgres, queues, and systems that can't quietly lose data
• Someone who debugs to the root cause instead of adding a retry
Fintech experience helps, but correctness instincts matter more. If you get uncomfortable when numbers don't reconcile, you'll fit in here.
