PayPal’s Product and AI Security Engineering team (PCIS) is looking for a Staff Security Engineer – AI Security & API Security to help build and secure what’s next in PayPal’s agentic world. This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys challenging the status quo and solving complex security problems across both traditional and modern systems. We’d love to talk to engineers who bring strong experience in: Software engineering, especially Python and Go Securing AI ecosystems, including emerging AI and agentic-security risk API security engineering and secure-by-design practices Product security across the software development lifecycle Defending cloud-native, distributed, and modern application systems Leading technically while staying close to the code and the problem space You’ll work alongside some of the finest technical leads and learn from exceptional senior leaders, including Sunil Mallik and David Messerschmidt.
