Software Engineer II@Abnormal
My team at Abnormal is hiring a Software Engineer II for Entity Intelligence, here in Bangalore. 🛡️
https://lnkd.in/g-YgvaBq
We're an attack-detection team in Abnormal's Detection org, and we own impersonation - brand, lookalike-domain, VIP, and employee. It's a surface where a single attack that gets through can cost a customer their trust in us, so the bar is high and the feedback is immediate.
A few honest things about the role:
You'd own a detection surface, not a backlog. You pick the problem, decide how to solve it, ship it, and keep tuning it once it's live. Nobody hands you tickets.
We work like analysts as much as engineers. We read the attacks that beat our current detection, figure out what they have in common, and turn that into logic that catches the next one too.
And we're genuinely AI-native - not in the slide-deck sense. Every engineer here writes detection logic *and* builds LLM-based detection agents.
What I'm looking for:
• 3+ years building and running production systems
• Strong Python, and enough SQL to dig into data yourself
• A detection instinct - you enjoy reading real attack samples and thinking "how would I get past this?"
• You already use AI coding agents every day and want to build with LLMs, not just call them
If hard problems at the edge of AI, security, and detection sound like your thing, I'd like to talk. Link's in the comments - DM me, or tag someone who'd be good at this. 👇
