PayPal’s Product and AI Security Engineering team (PCIS) is looking for a Staff Security Engineer – AI Security & API Security to help build and secure what’s next in PayPal’s agentic world. This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys challenging the status quo and solving complex security problems across both traditional and modern systems. We’re looking for a strong, hands-on backend engineer who enjoys solving hard problems at scale — distributed systems, high-throughput/low-latency services, resiliency, performance and deep production troubleshooting. Strong Java/Spring Boot experience is preferred, and knowledge of Go is a plus, along with solid system-design fundamentals.
