We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Production Support Engineer to support and maintain an enterprise data platform, ensuring reliable data pipelines, accurate reporting, and timely incident resolution. Key Responsibilities: • Provide L1/L2 production support for data platforms and pipelines. • Monitor pipeline health, investigate failures, and resolve incidents within defined SLAs. • Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and dashboard/data issues across source, ingestion, transformation, warehouse, and BI layers. • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures for recurring issues. • Support automated failure detection, ServiceNow incident management, and incident tracking. • Validate data quality, transformations, dependencies, and upstream/downstream impacts. • Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and operational documentation. • Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, alerting, automation, and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Platform, Security, Business teams, and vendors. Required Skills: • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Operations, or Production Support. • Strong SQL skills for data investigation and validation. • Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and end-to-end data flow. • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses. • Experience in production troubleshooting, RCA, incident management, SLA compliance, and escalation processes. • Ability to identify upstream/downstream dependencies and communicate effectively with stakeholders. • Comfortable supporting distributed teams across IST and North American time zones. Preferred Skills: • Experience with Fivetran, dbt Cloud, Sigma, or Atlan. • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Splunk, and monitoring/observability tools. • Python or scripting skills for support automation. • Knowledge of CI/CD, Git/GitHub, data quality, monitoring, and alerting. • Experience supporting enterprise cloud data platforms and integrations.
