Backend DeveloperPolicyIris
We’re looking for a hands-on backend developer to help us ship our MVP in about 10 weeks.
What you’ll build
-Secure user authentication (OTP login) and consent management
-Document upload and storage for PDFs and photos, with encryption at rest
-APIs connecting our document-extraction and AI Q&A engine to the web app
-Data export, account deletion and audit logs, in line with India’s DPDP Act
-Payment integration (Razorpay)
-Cloud deployment with dev and production environments and CI/CD
What we’re looking for
-3+ years building and shipping production backends
-Strong Python, ideally FastAPI or Django, plus PostgreSQL
-Experience with AWS or a similar cloud: storage, deployment, basic security hardening
-Comfortable with REST APIs, authentication and payment-gateway integrations
-Experience with handling sensitive personal data securely
-Able to work independently with part-time founders, and to communicate clearly in writing
Good to have
-Experience with OCR or document-processing pipelines, or with LLM APIs
-Background in fintech, insurtech or healthtech
-Use of AI coding tools in your workflow
Engagement
-Freelance or contract, about 3 months, with scope to extend or convert to full-time
-Remote / Mumbai-based preferred
-NDA and IP assignment required
