TLDR: Hiring for an AI first team I started at Mosaic as Chief of Staff to CEO a year back, and it has been a whirlwind of a journey. The role started with multiple mandates, and I have chosen to retain the most futuristic one for my way forward. I have chosen to lead Product and Technology for Mosaic Labs, which comes across as unconventional choice given my prior work in venture capital.   However, over the last year, I have learned that in the age of AI, as building becomes easier, the world would need two types of people: - PMs who are system design thinkers who can take business problems and design systems that can solve problems using AI (Finance is a great training ground for this) - Member of Technical Staff who have a deep interest in the “how” of AI and are at the cutting edge of AI tooling and architecture. In May 2026, we started Mosaic Labs in stealth to help build the new generation of brands at Mosaic with these two archetypes at the helm. Mosaic Labs aims to build brands where AI plays a central role in brand creation and operations. The Labs team will also contribute to the wider Mosaic platform to build agentic systems for our platform functions, including supply chain, new product development, finance, HR, and others.   Today, we are officially opening up two roles at Mosaic Labs.
