We're hiring Forward Deployed Engineers — where space meets AI.
At GalaxEye, we're building OptoSAR, which fuses SAR and EO satellite imagery, along with AI-powered decision intelligence that runs fully secure and air-gapped for defence and intelligence users.
Our Forward Deployed Engineers don't sit behind a desk. They work on-site with users, take our technology from evaluation to live operations, and bring what they learn straight back into the product.
We're hiring across two tracks:
🌍 Geospatial Track (2–5 years)
Turn satellite imagery and AI into intelligence users act on.
→ Interpret SAR and EO imagery for object detection, change detection and classification
→ Run demos, trials and evaluations at user sites, and train users
→ Spot new product opportunities and research new use-cases
→ Help shape features with our product and AI teams
You bring: a degree in remote sensing, geoinformatics, physics, electronics, CS or related; hands-on SAR/EO interpretation; QGIS or ArcGIS; Python (GDAL, rasterio, geopandas)
💻 Software Developer Track (2–4 years)
Deploy, run and fix AI-powered software where there is no internet and no AI coding assistant.
→ Deploy and configure our platform in secure, air-gapped facilities
→ Debug across the stack: backend, databases, local LLM inference, GPU, OS and network
→ Tune performance against QC baselines and train users
→ Feed field lessons back to engineering
You bring: a CS/CE degree; strong Python; FastAPI or Flask, SQL and vector databases; embeddings, local LLM inference and CUDA; solid OS and networking fundamentals.
Both tracks need:
✅ Clear communication and presentation skills with senior users
✅ Adaptability, ownership and curiosity
✅ Readiness for travel and on-site work in secure facilities (background and police verification apply)
