Kimbal is seeking a dedicated Algorithm Engineer to join our innovation lab, focusing on developing sophisticated control systems and battery management technologies. You will work on research-driven solutions for utilities and storage applications, contributing to the development of our energy infrastructure platforms. This role involves designing and implementing complex algorithms that power our core utility products and help drive the transition to sustainable energy.
what you'll do:
- Develop and validate control algorithms for battery management systems used in energy storage applications.
- Implement model-based software development workflows to transition designs from simulation to deployment.
- Execute signal processing and state estimation tasks to improve performance accuracy of energy utility technologies.
- Perform embedded C programming and auto-code generation for real-time system integration.
- Conduct research on lithium-ion battery electrochemistry to inform and refine estimation models.
- Maintain high engineering standards through exhaustive testing and documentation of algorithm performance.
