We’re hiring Entrepreneurs-in-Residence at Plum
I’m looking for a few strong, entrepreneurial people to join us as Entrepreneurs-in-Residence. These are high-ownership roles for people who enjoy solving real business problems and then rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.
A little about Plum
Plum is a 13-year-old, founder-led beauty and personal care company. We’ve built a strong business across digital, modern trade and general trade, and are now entering an exciting new phase of growth.
As a product-first company, we believe that offering a superior customer experience is the only way to build a solid, high-quality business. And there’s a lot to build.
What will you do as an EIR?
You’ll work closely with our leadership on some of the important problems we’re trying to solve. That could mean (illustratively):
• Scaling a particular channel or business
• Owning a P&L or a meaningful part of it
• Improving customer acquisition, retention and LTV
• Improving conversion and marketplace performance
• Working with supply chain to improve forecasting, inventory and OOS
• Running experiments across pricing, bundles, landing pages and offers
• Working with marketing, channel, SCM and other teams to get things done
• Taking something that works and turning it into a repeatable playbook
You’ll need to go deep into the numbers, talk to people across the organisation, figure out what is actually happening, and then go fix it. In short, take charge of a business problem and run with it like a mini-CEO.
Who I’m looking for
Someone with 3+ years of experience in consulting, founder’s office, VC portfolio operations, e-commerce or a similar high-intensity environment.
More importantly, someone who:
• Thinks from first principles
• Is very strong analytically and with Excel.
• Thrives in solving messy, ambiguous problems
• Has strong stakeholder management skills
• Can work across functions and across levels
• Has a strong bias for action
• Is comfortable owning outcomes rather than just making recommendations
Experience with e-commerce, quick commerce, performance marketing, D2C or consumer businesses would be useful.
Why this role?
Because you’ll get to see how a real consumer business gets built, as you work across strategy, numbers, consumers, marketing, supply chain, technology and people. You’ll make decisions, test things, make mistakes, learn and see the impact of your work. And if you’re good at it, the role can grow into something much bigger.
We are hiring for multiple EIR roles right now.
If this sounds like you, or you know someone who would be a great fit, mail in at careers@teampureplay.com with EIR in the subject line.
