The unicorn I'm looking for embodies these traits: - A rigorous analytical thinker who asks interesting and tough organizational questions - A data technician who can find the data, build the pipelines and tables, and present data in dashboards used daily by varied stakeholders (from HR to the world's top research scientists!) - A visual storyteller who masterfully brings others along with data stories - A detangler who can consult with business stakeholders' messy requirements and output analyses that make decisions clearer - A self-managed data engineer who holds themselves to higher standards than even I can MUST have prior experience in an analytical role in an organizational operations capacity, ie in a Chief of Staff org or Engineering Ops or Research Ops.
