🚀 We're Hiring: Senior Applied Scientist — Speech (ASR & TTS), Alexa International Are you passionate about building next-generation multilingual speech systems? We're looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to join the Alexa International team and help redefine how Alexa understands and responds to customers across the globe. What you'll do: - Drive cutting-edge research in ASR, TTS, and Speech-to-Speech (S2S) model training and fine-tuning - Advance multilingual speech recognition and synthesis using LLM-based architectures - Fine-tune and post-train speech and language models using SFT, DPO, RLHF & RLAIF - Build scalable evaluation frameworks for speech quality across diverse languages and acoustic conditions - Lead cross-team scientific strategy and deliver research-to-production solutions at scale - Mentor the next generation of scientists and publish industry-first research What we're looking for: - PhD + 5 yrs (or MS + 10 yrs) in CS, ML, Speech Processing, or related fields - Deep expertise in ASR/TTS architectures, end-to-end speech models, and LLM integration with speech systems - Experience with speech model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation at scale - Proven track record of shipping complex speech/ML solutions into production - Familiarity with multilingual speech challenges (code-switching, low-resource languages, far-field acoustics) is a strong plus This is your chance to work on some of the most challenging problems in international speech AI — building technology that truly hears and speaks every customer's language. 🌍🎙️ Interested?
