The CoS is at the heart of those transformations. You get to see what it takes to run a 250+ teammate, ~$20M social enterprise, growing at ~20% with possibly more accelerated growth to come. You'll be part of the executive team as an enabler and contributor, directly in charge of prioritization, strategy tracking, agenda-setting, and teambuilding across IDi's most senior leaders. You'll also be a thought partner to me as we think about the most ambitious ways to bring cutting-edge data, evidence, and AI tools to the sector -- amidst unprecedented technological transformation. Not endless execution of every task -- but communicating, (de)prioritizing, and handing tasks to others proactively. 💪 strong communication and critical thinking: able to think about hard problems creatively, and direct an opinionated and diverse group of execs productively towards next steps 💪 leading through influence: able to use relationships, deep listening, persistence, and GSD ("get stuff done") to herd and influence senior executives 💪 passion, curiosity, and commitment: demonstrated passion for IDi's mission and willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks (innovation, strategy, operations, systems, change management, board management) to drive results 💪 AI-native; fast learner of evolving tools Nuts and bolts: 📍 Location: The candidate must be based in an IDinsight office: Dakar, Rabat, Nairobi, Lusaka, Delhi, or Manila. Strong candidates can relocate to one of these offices with sponsored work authorization, but candidates with existing work authorization and lived experience in IDinsight regions are strongly preferred. Candidates wanting to be based in the US or other parts of the Global North will not be considered. 🪜 Not a role for an early professional, nor a senior executive. The right level is somewhere around Manager, Senior Manager, or Associate Director (~6-15 yrs of WE). This will be an incredibly important role with major influence that punches above its weight, substantively contributing ideas and direction to the org - and the CoS also needs to roll up their sleeves and execute administrative and operational support tasks. I have an exec assistant, so this role will not be in charge of scheduling - but the CoS should help me optimize task flow and how I spend my time. ⏲️ Time zones: This role requires at least a few hours' overlap with EST, which means candidates in Asia would most likely have to work some evening hours. But the role has a ton of flexibility. Apply by July 21!
