PhonePe operates at a scale that's genuinely hard to find anywhere else: 700 million registered users, 50 million merchants, over 330 million transactions a day. But scale isn't why I'd tell you to come. What keeps me here is the mission behind it — financial inclusion for a billion Indians — and the sheer range of hard problems it throws up. Payments, lending, insurance, wealth, commerce. Regulated products, real money, and users in every corner of the country, many of them investing or paying online for the very first time. The design team exists to make all of that feel simple, calm, and trustworthy. That's the job. It's not always easy, but it matters, and the people you'd do it alongside are some of the best I've worked with.
