Responsibilities - Infrastructure & Kubernetes: Build, configure & maintain Kubernetes clusters in production environments (cloud & on-prem). - Deploy & operate on-premise infra, ensuring seamless integration w/cloud environments. - Use Terraform & other IaC tools for provisioning, automation & environment consistency. - Design & manage CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar tools. - Work w/major cloud providers - AWS, Azure & Google Cloud including hybrid & multi-cloud setups. - Manage AWS services such as RDS, EC2, ECS, S3 & other essential components. - Lead or assist in app & infra migrations across AWS, Azure & Google Cloud. - Architect & support global multi-region, multi-cloud deployments w/ high availability. - Work w/ PostgreSQL incl configuration, replication, backup/restore & tuning. - Configure read replicas, primary-replica replication setups & multi-region database clusters. - Implement vertical & horizontal scaling strategies for databases & app components. - Configure & operate message brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis & ideally Temporal. - Ensure stable & scalable real-time WebSocket communication systems. - Support teams working w/ GraphQL APIs, inc. GraphQL Federation-based microservices. - Implement monitoring, observability & alerting systems for reliability & performance. - Handle performance scaling, load analysis & stability of microservices architectures. - Collaborate w/ backend teams on memory optimization, resource efficiency & system health. - Participate in security hardening, vulnerability assessment & cybersecurity best practices. - Support SOC2 compliance: implement & maintain controls, audit logging, access reviews & evidence collection in partnership w/ security team. - Dev. best practices for logging, tracing, infrastructure-as-code, disaster recovery & cloud security. Requirements: - 4+ yrs of exp as a DevOps Eng, SRE or in a similar role. - Strong w/ Kubernetes, Helm & container orchestration. - Hands-on exp w/Argo CD & modern CI/CD tools. - Deep working knowledge of AWS + solid familiarity w/ Azure & Google Cloud. - Strong exp w/ Terraform for infrastructure automation. - Exp operating on-prem servers & hybrid cloud infrastructures. - Strong knowledge of monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, ELK, Loki, etc.). - Exp w/ microservices, distributed systems & performance optimization. - Knowledge of messaging systems: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis & ideally Temporal. - Exp w/ GraphQL services & GraphQL Federation. - Understanding of real-time systems & WebSocket infrastructure. - Cybersecurity awareness: secure configurations, IAM, secrets management & best practices. - Familiarity with SOC2 compliance & audit processes. - Practical exp w/ cloud migrations or building multi-region, multi-cloud architectures. - Strong exp w/ PostgreSQL incl replication, tuning, clustering & scaling. - Solid understanding of Linux, networking & system performance tuning.
