Customer Success Engineer@DataGenie
I'm hiring for one of my favourite roles to fill, and honestly one of the most underrated jobs in any product company.
We're looking for a Customer Success Engineer at DataGenie.
The way I think about it: you're the person who sits with our customers, really gets what's slowing them down, and turns that into things we actually go build. You're the bridge between the customer and our engineering team, and you'll be doing it directly with Me and our Founder & CEO (Karthikeyan (MK) Muthukumar).
Quick bit about DataGenie. We're a fast-growing, fully AI-native startup, and we're fully remote. This is for someone who'd take high-innovation, slightly adventurous work over a comfortable corporate seat. And we're building something I'm genuinely excited about right now. More on that in a few weeks.
Day to day, you'd be sitting with customers and digging into how they actually work before jumping to any pitch, then turning what you learn into clear specs and driving real adoption. The bar I care about is "they can't work without it," not "that was a nice demo."
What I'm looking for:
- You genuinely enjoy talking to customers and get curious about their problems.
- You're comfortable with data. Enough SQL and analytics sense to dig in yourself instead of waiting on someone.
- You use AI as a real thinking partner. We're AI-native, and it's how a small team punches way above its weight.
- You're good at discovery. You ask "why" a few times before reaching for a solution.
- You can take a vague "this is confusing" and turn it into something an engineer can actually build.
1-2 years in a customer-facing role is the sweet spot. But if you're a fresher who's hungry and genuinely up for it, ping me anyway. I mean that.
The process is quick and simple. A mini hackathon and a live working session.
If this sounds like you, drop a comment or DM me. And if you know someone who'd be great for it, tag them or send them my way. We run a referral bonus too: refer someone we end up hiring, and if they're still going strong a month in, there's a bonus in it for you.
