AI for Social Impact | Head of Policy at Karya
2mo ago
Public Policy Intern@Karya
Hello. I am looking for an intern to join my team at Karya.
A large part of my work today revolves around a set of questions that I believe will become increasingly important over the coming decade. a. How should AI diffuse through the public sector? b. How should AI systems be evaluated in a country as linguistically, socially, and economically diverse as India? c. What happens to communities speaking low-resource and tribal languages in an AI ecosystem built primarily for high-resource languages? d. How do we ensure that AI strengthens inclusion rather than deepening existing inequalities? e. How should India think about regulating AI? Answering these questions requires moving across disciplines. On any given day, I may be reading policy documents, reviewing emerging regulatory frameworks, thinking through institutional incentives, engaging with government stakeholders, evaluating technology deployments, or working on strategic partnerships. I am therefore looking for someone who is excited by intellectual breadth and enjoys operating at the intersection of public policy, technology, law and strategy. If this sounds interesting, I have tagged the position below. https://lnkd.in/gNirEYEw
